Mike Watson is responsible for underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management at Callodine Credit. Prior to joining Callodine Credit, Mike spent six years at Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF), most recently as a Director, Senior Relationship Manager in the Retail Finance Group. In this role, Mike was responsible for underwriting, portfolio management and restructuring of asset-based loans to North American based retailers. Prior to WFCF, Mike spent two years as Vice President, Underwriting Sponsor and Loan Originations at Salus Capital Partners (SCP). There, he was responsible for evaluating and structuring new asset-based loan opportunities, supporting the executive team, and ensuring continuity as loan mandates transitioned into underwriting and portfolio. He spent the first eight years of his career at GE Capital (GEC), starting as an investment analyst, and most recently as Assistant Vice President for GE Corporate Retail Finance. At GEC, Mike primarily performed portfolio management and underwriting for asset-based loans to North American based retailers. Mike received a B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting, with a minor in Law, from Bentley University.
